A great cover band at a house party, taken in very poor lighting at ISO 12,800. This doesn't replicate a real concert venue - the lighting is probably a lot worse than good concert lights. But it should give concert photographers some idea of what they can expect of the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV at ISO 12,800. Noise? Yes. Does it bother me? Not really. Especially not considering how terrible the lighting was in this basement party. I think with good concert lighting you should be able to shoot at ISO 6400, which looks a lot better.
Oh yeah - I uploaded this at the original size. Click on the photo to see it at the original resolution. I made some color and contrast adjustments in Lightroom on this one, but that's it. Nothing in Photoshop and no sharpening or noise reduction were used.
