One of seven blockhouses stationed around the walls of Fort Meigs. These blockhouses were not used to house the troops occupying the fort, but rather used for defense only. Musket armed troops occupied the top floor while a single gun and crew were on the ground floor. In the event the fort's walls are breached the gun could be moved around to fire out the door into the fort.
The Fort's defenders would live in tents setup along the 9 acres of space inside the walls between the massive traverses.
