This particular church was built in 1918 and designed by Dalbe Viau and Alphonse Venne. Seating capacity for 1,000. It is called a Crypt church because of the vaulted flat arches and is situated at the base of the Basilica.

This was also the space where Brother Andre's funeral took place in 1937. His body is laid in a tomb in the Votive Chapel next to this.

The entire layout was reorganized in 1966.
