A Catholic parish in the Philippines had its members directly sell palms to churchgoers before the start of a mass celebrating Palm Sunday. It even allowed another vendor to sell its own products (see those small boxes on a table).

The irony was that bishops in the Philippines spoke out against capitalism and commercialism, yet there are Catholic churches around the nation that directly sold stuff to churchgoers (as the love offering was not enough).
