Love the slippers. Shadows create great effect.

I like the sound it makes when I press the shutter release button.

Great shot Rick. The shadows fall in a way to make this a very positive photograph and have a gentle angle as framed. Nice use of the driveway/slab to separate the picture into more zones for the eye to fall across.

The light is a bit hot across the man's cheek, but that is understandable for the obvious time of day. The dog needs a bit more detail along the top line as the shadow is a bit too intense, but he nicely lit paws make up for that!

I read the story in the forum. Perhaps you could get this pair to spend some time and I bet they would provide several good photo opportunities! They look and sound like lots of fun and a dog that pose, or does not ming the camera, can be a great subject!
