yes good catch/good job imo, Jenny. looks to me like you were rather close to this little guy? his face has a funny look on it, he looks almost grumpy to me, like a cat.
Thanks for the comments. These owls are all over my neighborhood and can be very expressive. This owl was in fear of my 4 year old. I did use a Nikkor 70-300mm zoom and did not have a tripod although I think it might have come in handy.
