The negative/solarization effect fits this image nicely.Indeed it does impart a ghostly quality. I feel this one in the landscape orientation works better than the portrait. I think it would be stronger to put the 'ghost' trees to a less central location so the eye can have a better differentiation between the sky and the trees.
