than ks to both of you for the kind comments. i achieved the purple look by dropping the kelvin setting in white balance to 2500.

Holy cow - the title works, but me no like. Maybe I'm just too much of an uptight purist. But I just saw this as bad white balance. It's cool (literally) that you made the decision yourself. But I don't think the purple cast adds anything to the content. My rule for tweaking photos is that it should really add something meaningful. If it doesn't, it always jsut seems like you're trying to compensate for a weak image by adding some processing effects.
thanks john, glad you have critique me. your right i dropped the kelvin to 2500 as low as i could. i dont think its to compensate for a poor photo more like to put some artistic flair into the photo. I know as you do that this looks far from real and was just an experiment with digital photography
