I really, really like this one. Of course, I wish the boat house wasn't so centered. I feel like you probably could have created a similar composition without centering the boat house. But it still works and I still like it. The composition does work pretty well. My eye goes from the tree trunk to the boat house to the branch at the right, and back to the tree trunk. It may be that I'm just stuck on the Rule-of-Thirds. I know it's only a guideline and it won't always work. And maybe the real subject here is the tree trunk. I do love the texture.
It's also a bit overexposed, with detail lost in the highlights on the boat house roof, the water, and the sky. Always expose for the highlights, using your camera's histogram and that shouldn't happen. You can always selectively lighten the tree later, if you need to.

I like the composition. It is the case where the rule of thirds does not work. I had same notes from John above and do not agree with him in the case. Real focus is on the tree and it is in Third rule, but particularity of the photo is another object in center though it is not in focus. So, I like this photo as is, though small overexposition presents. I like simply looking on such photos and thinking about somewell. Thanks for sharimg.A picture is worth a thousand words .....
