2009 Panasonic Lumix Intro Article >>
A closeup of a flower shot with the a pre-production Panasonic Lumix ZS3 - the follow-up to the Lumix TZ5. This was shot using the impressive iA Intelligent Auto shooting mode. I composed the shot, noted the macro icon pop up in the left-hand corner of the LCD, and pressed the shutter release button. It was that easy. I didn't have to choose a special shooting mode, I didn't have to press a macro focus button - the camera did it all for me.
This photo has been adjusted a bit in Photoshop for contrast, brightness, and color. I thought the original was a little dark and flat. But the camera delivered a very usable photo with minimal effort on my part.
