You have got some nice photos indeed. I like the subject here very much. Great capture. However, the composition is a bit wrong - the bird should be more on the right side of the photo, so that he would "have" more space against his eyes. Surely, I understand that the object was far and it was impossible to make a good composition. BTW, I see you have 8x zoom 8 mp nikon? That is great instrument, but I have recognized that as all tele zoom cameras it lacks quality. The more it hasn't got IS... So you need to use tripod? Do you use it a lot?Back to the Nature

Yes, I should try redoing the crop on this one. I was shooting quickly to catch the right moment and depending on cropping later to improve the composition.
I like my Nikon Coolpix 8870 (8x zoom, 8 mp), although this picture was taken with a Canon EOS 20D. The Nikon has weak points, especially at low light, so I mostly use it for macro these days. It's small and lightweight and lets me move quickly.
