For what it's worth, a photo like this isn't really a "catch." It involves at least a little planning and thought. For this one, I prefocused on the landing, set the exposure manually and shot a burst. This image had the best timing of the set. I just want people to know that shooting something like this spontaneously doesn't really work. If you want a good action shot, put a little effort into setting it up. That makes a huge difference.
