it's funny but i hardly see the clear cuts anymore....they are part of the scenery to me now. you gotta realize that trees are just another crop (although this particular crop takes a bit longer to grow) it's a renewable resource around here and rightly so. they harvested behind my house last summer and this winter my and my neighbors trees were so exposed the wind blew down around twenty of them! and they were big, old stout fellas too!
this tug, barge and crane got themselves anchored in the middle of the river on the fourth of july and were polite enough to turn off their nav lights so as to not interfere with the fireworks that were launced from the jetty behind them.
