Excellent composition. Perfect timing. effective shutter speed.

The light on the sand is fantastic. You can see the tracks, the water splash at its feet. I agree... the reflection makes this.The sand has a special slick mood to it.Great color contrast. I still look at the splashing feet.
Again...THE LIGHTING makes this work.Heavy overcast?
Superb results.

thanks for the comments folks!

and it was slightly overcast... i planned my beach outing for the late afternoon hours on purpose. i think for the first time, i really saw for myself so noticeably how the light changes late in the day. it made the reflections come to life for a short time. is that what you true photographers call the golden hour?

i didn't notice the footprints til you pointed that out rick! :O
