ooops that was unintentional...i drew this in 1988 in pen and ink and the title is MIGRAIN HEADACHE #2. it was one of a series that i did on migrains where in each drawing the head and hands were basically the same but i put different things i the brain cavity: an overdrawn checkbook, a traffic citation, child support papers, etc. i have suffered from childhood on with migrains and saw a great art show on headaches that prompted me to do my own.
rick saw a bronze statue by rodin at stanford that really reminded him of the drawing in my avatar and thought that perhaps it was the same artist...this bronze sounds to me like it might possibly be THE THINKER by rodin but my knowledge of art history isn't as sharp as it used to be.
i reposted this image so that rick could see the details a little better....i remember being pretty stoked on how good the excedrin bottle came out in this version. i also did a color version of the bottle in one drawing but i can no longer remember who i gave it to ( a fellow migrain sufferer i imagine)
