I guess I am partial to kids having fun and I love this picture. I like the black and white and also the framing. Life captured on the fly. I have a degree in photojournalism and have published a lot of pictures in my time. An emotional cameo of childhood. Thanks.
May I say that you're ruling my black and white world today? This photo is great, and the guy with the cat is one of the best ever. You've got an eye for visual irony and you sure have awesome timing. I can't think of anything that would make this one better. The hula hoop is ni the perfect position. I can feel the tension and the composition adds to the feeling of off-balance motion.
In my mind, I keep imaging this in color. Did you shoot it in black and white or color? You should use the equipment dropdowns. It's nice to be able to see some detail about the photos on the gallery.

i love the contrast. its so perfect. it almost seems like a color picture completey saturated, just in black and white. the only thing i wish could be different would be a lower angle to see more of the face, but then you wouldnt have the contrast of the girl and the backgroud so i guess this is the absolute best anyone could do.
