This is a building in downtown Denver, Colorado. It became the Holy Ghost church in 1905, and in 1983 an investment company purchased the land for 6.3 million to build a skyscraper around the historical landmark. The church took the money and feeds thousands of homeless every year with the money. The best part of the story is that the church ended up getting to keep the title (I believe) to the land after all when the investment group that built the building backed out of the project, making it one of the most lucrative deals in history.
