Now I have held off on giving ratings....just cause everyone else seems to be doing that nowdays....but I love this one. The positioning is just perfect for the eye. Very pleasing.

Well I rarely rate and I'm not changing my policy, but this is great. Wonderful exposure control and the sky reflection in the water is top notch.Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

I love this shot michael, I would love to see more sky, perhaps rotating the vertical axis up about 1/3. Less on the shore line and more on the sky. John always tells me "more sky, more sky", so now I have it in my brain:~) Beautiful shot, wish I was there.
thank you all for your warm comments. david this was taken at the mouth of the rogue river, oregon on the south bank. to mark: this is just one of about seven exposures that i made that day and a few shots did have alot more sky but when all of the elements were combined this one was one of two that i liked best. i agree with john's "more sky" rule though and always try to take a bracket of different croppings whenever the shot calls for it.

This is a verry peacfull looking picture. Sunsets are the best..I was at the beach enjoying a day like this when i felt a splat on my ear. and a warm feeling, it was bird poop, right on my ear, I just wiped it off and laughed, nothing can spoil a good sunset.
