Back to the tidepools... (again) and the neverending quest for better species shots. The lighting at these tidepools differs and in some ways is better than at Dana Point. The crabs are more abundant, and I must say a bit more cooperative (as cooperative as they can get!!!). Spending time at the tidepools has taught me a lot of patience, and in this shot I waited until the Crab was comfortable with my presence (about a half hour). He walked out from his cave enough for me to shoot this shot, and was trusting enough to have my lens less than 6" away. While I was waiting I had a crab crawl over my boot unsupecting of my presence. I need to remember to bring something soft to sit on, it has become quite a challenge to stand up after taking these shots!
Hope you enjoy this one!
