The focus areas are a little to large for this kind of shot, (red flower) automatic focus always go for the background , had to focus manually, use the magnifier, got the best focus, out of magnifier, recompose, shoot, all while looking at the EV with my cheek close to the ground and mosquitoes buzzing in my ear, but I think it is simpler than the D300 with the 150mm macro , and likely i would have needed a tripod
