Nice! I like the mud on her teeth and the ring of mud around her mouth where she was obviously smearing it while she was riding. The Sea Otter mud was awesome for photos, wasn't it? Was this taken on Saturday?
What ISO did you shoot this at? When I look at the large version there's a lot of obvious noise.
Thanks for posting your EOS 30D review. It's good to be seeing some reviews for that camera coming in. I'm seriously thinking of replacing my 10D with a 30D.

Did you use one of the auto exposure modes - like sports? I try to alsways shoot at my camera's lowest ISO setting, in order to avoid abviou noise. If you were shooting at 1/1000th of a second @ f/6.3 you could have easily shot at ISO 200 and 1/500th second @ f/5.0. Then you wouldn't have had a noise problem. The only real difference, besides the image quality improvement, would have been that the background would have been a bit softer.

No, I shot in M mode. I was experimenting with the new camera. I am slowly learning more and more about the different ISO ranges in digital and the noise they pick up. This is my first real Digital SLR. I think my pics are progressing though as I learn the ins/outs of this camera.Dave My SportsShooter Page My Gallery
