I was really excited to do this shoot and after completing it, I want to make newborn portraiture one of my main focuses. I have so many ideas for the next session. Any thoughts on this to make it better? Is the color ok? should it have less of a yellow glow. Does it look too much like detached hands or does this work? Would you pay me to do your newborn shots if you were in the market for a newborn photographer and saw this in my portfolio? I like these photos, but then I don't at the same time. Can anybody tell me what is missing? I just can't seem to get the fell I am looking for. http://gallery.photographyreview.com/showphoto.php?photo=127554&title=grandma-s-hands&cat=524 http://gallery.photographyreview.com/showphoto.php?photo=127554&title=grandma-s-hands&cat=524 Thu, 16 Apr 2009 22:04:06 -0400 Dad's Old Car

by: aurajane

Description}: This is my Dad's old car. He parked it here 15 years ago at the entrance of what was once a 200 year old tobacco barn. He died a few months later and the barn fell in shortly after. My brother pulled some of the debris off, but when he realized how far gone it was, he stopped. This was my Dad's dream car... a Cadillac convertible. It actually ran when he put it here, just needed a new battery and top. He was too sick to do any more work on it. My Grandma doesn't have the heart to move it off her property, so here it sits and rusts. If you look closely, you can see my little sister's stroller propped on the side of the car. That was also pulled from the old barn after it fell. http://gallery.photographyreview.com/showphoto.php?photo=127017&title=dad-s-old-car&cat=524 http://gallery.photographyreview.com/showphoto.php?photo=127017&title=dad-s-old-car&cat=524 Sun, 12 Apr 2009 12:09:29 -0400 Dad's Old Car

by: aurajane

Description}: This is my Dad's old car. My Father ran his glass business out of this building back in the early 80's. I saturated the color slightly, and I changed the color of the gravel because it was a little too blue gray for me. I like the dirt road look. I wish I had taken this a little earlier in the day though. I think a blue sky would have made the picture much better.
