Description}: Moon test. With zoom at 30x, you need a tripod to make sure you get a steady shot even at higher shutter speeds. WB on auto. Saturation enhanced to 20% on computer to get a more natural image. This is a camera with a retractable lens that you can fit into your pocket and still give you reasonable shots.

Description}: This is a side-by comparison between an image shot at ISO100 & ISO400. The brighter stained-glass areas both came out fine-grained. The darker stonework the ISO400 image showed more grain when enlarged but still acceptable. In bright daylight there is not a big difference.

Description}: Outdoor in bright light you can hand-hold using the lowest ISO for good resolution with a larger f-stop for better details. What exactly is the difference between the previous F770 & F800? According to Fuji you're supposed to get better results in low-light. You can bypass the aperture & shutter by using M when necessary. But unfortunately Fuji did not put in MF so in the worst case scenario you can switch to manual focus and still get something when the camera won't do it for you. The resolution is the same for both models with a few added settings on the menu. The 1 setting added for F800 is multi-exposure. You can exposed images on top of each other. However this works only in fully automatic mode so you don't have room to fiddle around with the settings.

Description}: Don't have much choice for closing down the lens to larger f-stop. Want to get a reasonably low ISO for enlargement and at the same time fast-enough shutter speed unless you're in a helicopter. Contrast darkened to give more details.

Description}: To test the low-light capabilities of the FinePix F770EXR. The F800 just released. Moon & skyline exposed separately. Skyline exposure lightened on computer before posting. Skyline: F5.3 + 4s. Moon: F5.3 + 1/400s Resolution acceptable at ISO 800 or below. Otherwise gets a bit grainy.
