Description}: I shot this at a cyclocross race in Salt Lake City, this fall. I used the E-M1's continuous auto focus and was happily surprised to discover that I was able to consistently get sharp photos with it. It's not as good as a DSLR but it works well enough that I'm not afraid to use it.

Description}: I did some continuous auto focus action testing this fall with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 and was surprised to find I was able to get nice sharp action photos with it without having to pre-focus. It still isn't as consistent as a DSLR, but I am pleased to say that it works :)

Description}: A tombstone in the cemetery at Iosepa, an abandoned Mormon Hawaiian settlement from the late 1800s. I find it very moving to think about these people who came from Hawaii to the desert in Utah because of their faith. It must have been very, very hard.

Description}: This photo was taken at The Crater, as we prepared to take the Nikon 1 AW1 (the camera I took this picture with) diving. The Crater is a really cool and unique hot springs located in what looks like a crater. The property owners bored a tunnel through the rock and put a dock inside so you can swim and dive. The water temperature is about 95 F. It's a very surreal and fun place to soak, snorkel and dive. Description}: Ideal race conditions for cyclocross, anyway :) This was shot with the Nikon 1 AW1 waterproof mirrorless camera, the world's first waterproof, interchangeable lens digital camera. It's a great camera for an event like this where the temperature never got above freezing and it snowed almost the entire time. The AW1's continuous auto focus worked flawlessly and the CX-format sensor and RAW shooting allowed me to get great color and image quality in what would be nearly impossible conditions for a waterproof P&S camera.
