Description}: Very Unique Cemetary story. This is the Wyatt Chapel Cemetary Memorial Park located in Mansfield TX. It is 1/4 acre and is located in the middle of a retail shopping center parking lot. It seems the cemetary was abandoned in the early 1900's. It was forgotten until the shopping center developer discovered it during planning. An archealogical survey was done, and it was discovered that their were 44 bodies buried there. Instead of moving the bodies, the developer created a memorial park, had it designated a Texas historic landmark. The park has a water fountain, benches, one original headstone, and a listing of all the known people buried there. Most shoppers don't even realize it is a cemetary.
