This 2.5 sec exposure ( self timed with mirror lockup) was taken by balancing the camera on a railing. Minor distortion was corrected in ps. We were in a boat in the Thames River (Ontario) and this Heron was hunting where a small creek emptied into the river. We approached as close as the water depth would allow, approx 40 feet from the bird, and the challenge was to get a shot clear of the obstructing vegetation. After about 20 frames, he slowly made his way deeper into the weeds. Shot at 500mm, cropped and adjusted in PS2.

This is a full frame shot with no photoshop (other than shrinking and removing two red spots from bad pixels). A series of "random" shots using bulb setting and a wired remote.
