Description}: A more recent photo of Geicko,the Gecko. A leopard gecko if you must know,eats only living food,crickets,mealworms etc.Easy to get along with not very demanding,pretty neat and clean.He is about 9 inches long,and belongs to one of my grandkids who has had him for about 3 years(they claim they can easily live to twenty or thirty with the most basic care,so far that is proving true. I think the very first pic I uploaded on the site was one of him,about two or three years ago.he's got such an infectious smile and he'll sell you insurance!

Description}: Last Sept. 11th,the city lit up two search lights to represent the twin towers,I'd forgotten about it,but was watching the 11pm newscast and they mentioned the lights would go out at dawn the following morning.I debated with myself and finaly drove into Brooklyn about 1am and took several pics of the lights,from near the Brooklyn Bridge.I later fooled around a bit in PS Elements and came up with this. Description}: no more bandages on the eye,after five weeks I've got both eyes back. Now just a bit more healing and hopefully this episode in the life will drift behind like the wake of a ship. Just grabbed this the other night when for one more time had to bandage up. Obviously,my picture taking ability is no better with two eyes than with one;)

Description}: "A Christmas Story",Gene Sheperds TV movie of a few years back,inspired by one of his great stories,launched the inevitable market for miniatures of the story. My wife collects "The Dickens Village pieces,so it was a natural to get these. This is the "family car",which took incantations,prayers and a good kick to get started in the cold,bet we all have had at least ,one of those.I've had several! Anyhoo,Merry Christmas

Description}: Jerryli,took a photo recently,of a T-6 in Florida,when I saw it I recalled taking a similiar PIC in the 80's at Flushing Airport in NYC,thought that might be the same aircraft,but no. Speeds,was a local company that did air advertising and sky writing for years in the NYCity area,evenyually the actual writing became a series of dashes of smoke,hence the new name of Skytyping. Description}: Years ago a professional photog who was a family friend told us when you had a new camera go buy a 12 exposure role take the camera into the bathroom and shoot 12 pics,no flash,just adjust the camera according to available light and composition and shoot! This exercise was meant to let you see the function of the camera and also your function as a photog. Well he is long gone,but this ones for you Joe!

Description}: Early this year we witnessed a record snow fall for NYC. The biggest snowfall since 1947! For you counting on your fingers,thats a lotta years. I was witness to both storms and remember '47 in bit of detail simply because it was such a big deal back then. Somewhere either with me or my sister,is a pic of yours truly,standing on a 7 ft. mound of snow my dad was shoveling in front of my house,if I get my hands on it I'll try and scan it in.

Description}: My camera, Canon RebelXT was a week old and I got in the car at 06:40 in the morning on January 7th, to drive out and try and catch the sunrise. If you can see in the right hand background a flag pole with the flag fluttering in the 20mph. breeze you can put yourself on the beach with me. I feared for the camera and only took 6-8pics. So this sunrise isn't as nice as possible but at least I got out there and used it. Steve B.
