Description}: This is a building in downtown Denver, Colorado. It became the Holy Ghost church in 1905, and in 1983 an investment company purchased the land for 6.3 million to build a skyscraper around the historical landmark. The church took the money and feeds thousands of homeless every year with the money. The best part of the story is that the church ended up getting to keep the title (I believe) to the land after all when the investment group that built the building backed out of the project, making it one of the most lucrative deals in history.

Description}: I am so happy to have been able to capture this bird. It is a wild turkey vulture that was flying in a pack about a mile away. This one got close enough to snap with my 300mm. As you can tell I almost didn't get the shot because I was actually too close with the lense and needed to back off a bit.

Description}: This is an old barn that is located just south of Castle Rock Colorado where it is mostly rolling hills and cows. It is in the "green belt" of Colorado where they get a little more rain than the rest of the state, so it is a bit greener there than just about anywhere else you go in the state. I was standing on the side of a two lane road when I took this trying not to get run over so I took it wide, and cropped it a bit. This is my very first Raw image, and I used Rawshooter to convert it. Seems like a good software program to use. I definitly noticed the diffrence from Raw and JPG and am unsure about what I am going to choose for this type of shot again.

Description}: I was in the wrong place at the right time. I could have had some sweet shots if I hiked back around these lame cables. They are much further then they look. By the time I would have hiked around the ridge I would have missed the sunset. Doh!

Description}: I was really bored so I took a black light to a glass music box. I let it spin and took a long exposure. If I am not mistaken there is a lady in the image dead center. I think it is the ghost of this music box. My thought is to include the picture with the music box and e-bay it to see how much I get.

Description}: This picture is very doctored. Maybe you have some advice for me. I love the shot, but the focus grabbed something else besides him. So I had a great out of focus picture which makes it a crappy photo. Any way I sharpened a bit, put it in black and white, colored the medalion, and did a soft focus to take the attention away from it not being in focus.

Description}: This flower is about the size of a quarter and I found it growing along side of a trail. I cropped the image a bit using picasa and then added the sepia effect. Description}: This is a picture from the "Castle Rock" of Castle Rock Colorado. I had hoped for a more colorful sunset, but I had to settle with the orange. The night before it was purple and blue, and I was not at a place to snap it up. The mountians are beautiful.
