Description}: I was going to pitch it at first as I get a little bored of the somewhat cliche look, but then I started liking this more. I didn't modify anything except to crop and resize ... the colour was nice without enhancing. I cropped off the left side and I think the left dark shadows of the trees are distracting, but when I cut those off I don't really think it improves it any so I've left it in. Maybe next time. Or maybe not, why do the same thing twice when there's so much more to try ...

Description}: I discovered in the marshy area just down from my house a pair of Canada Geese, and I can only get so close standing on the road, so I've been tripping out there daily trying to get a good shot. The only time I could have gotten REALLY close is when I was leaving for work the other morning, in my car, and I had to stop and wait for them to cross the road. No camera, of course! I only hope they stay off the road and stay safe. I might find myself IN the marsh at some point soon (either on purpose or by accident), there is so much life in there.

Description}: Inspired by some beautiful flower photos here, I found these little white flowers growing beside my driveway, when only a week ago there was a bit of snow! I would have liked to have had the entire picture be in focus, not just the center, so I went outside for another try but the light had gone down a bit and I didn't like what I shot ... so I took another look at this and decided it still works for me (I might think differently next week if I can do better).

No more winter ... I insist ...

Description}: This is my first attempt at macro photography by reversing a lense. And it was HARD, I didn't realize how much. I got a neck ache trying to move my head, trying to get the ladybug into focus, and this is the best I managed. She wouldn't sit still, of course, kept circling the glass she was crawling on. Butterflies are out of the question with this method, obviously. But I'll keep trying ....

Description}: Just a little more playing with low light, contrast and shadows. I can't decide if the noise works for this. I tried the same thing using a flash and producing a way sharper photo but I didn't like it as much.
