Description}: This photograph was taken in color originally, and converted to B&W in Photoshop. I must admit that I had to cheat and crop to the desired frame. This was one of those one-in-a-million shots. We were packing up the RV to head home after a weekend of camping. My little boy was coming down with something and had slowed down quite a bit. So I look over from where I am at the picnic table to see him resting on his elbows in the doorway of the RV. I frantically grab my camera and fire.

Description}: Smith Rock near Redmond, Oregon, in late afternoon, July 4, 2003. This is a 3-shot stich, shot with tripod. Range fires southeast of Smith Rock lent progressively ominous tone to what would otherwise have been a perfectly blue sky.

Description}: Southward view of the Owyhee River valley in Rome, Oregon. This was a 3-shot stitch, shot freehand (a wonder it stitched together). I couldn't pass up the opportunity of capturing the frosty sagebrush in the foreground. This was during about a 15-minute sunny gap between a foggy day and sunset in late fall.

Description}: Portland, Oregon, viewed from the east bank of the Willamette River. This is a 2-shot stitch. You'll notice the softness in the dead center buildings, which is an unfortunate shortcoming of my tiny Optio S4. The far edges and corners of the lens tend to be soft, especially on the right side and lower corners.
