Description}: My oldest son has such lonely, sad eyes. I wanted to get a shot that included hos reflection because I noticed how different his expression is when reflected. Have I achieved the most I can with the circumstances, or is there something more I can do to take this further? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Description}: My personal favorite shot from my first newborn session. I was really excited to do this shoot and after completing it, I want to make newborn portraiture one of my main focuses. I have so many ideas for the next session. Any thoughts on this to make it better? Is the color ok? should it have less of a yellow glow. Does it look too much like detached hands or does this work? Would you pay me to do your newborn shots if you were in the market for a newborn photographer and saw this in my portfolio? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Description}: Here is the same picture, but with more of the blue pulled through the eyes, and saturated more. She has so many colors in her eyes, does this level of saturation look weird?

Description}: This is my first attempt with b+w while coloring the eyes. I pulled through a more hazel color than her eyes actually are, but I like the effect. Her eyes are actually more blue, but does the subtlety work better? Would they blue be too dramatic?

Description}: My daughter playing in the soybean field in our backyard. I know that taking pictures with a setting sun in your lens view and not just as your lighting source is a no no unless taking a picture of the sunset itself, but I like it a little. Reminds me of childhood. Any tips on how to really make it pop next time? I want the feel, but executed better.

Dad's Old Car

Description}: This is my Dad's old car. He parked it here 15 years ago at the entrance of what was once a 200 year old tobacco barn. He died a few months later and the barn fell in shortly after. My brother pulled some of the debris off, but when he realized how far gone it was, he stopped. This was my Dad's dream car... a Cadillac convertible. It actually ran when he put it here, just needed a new battery and top. He was too sick to do any more work on it. My Grandma doesn't have the heart to move it off her property, so here it sits and rusts. If you look closely, you can see my little sister's stroller propped on the side of the car. That was also pulled from the old barn after it fell.

Description}: This is an old metal barn at the edge of my Grandma's property. My Father ran his glass business out of this building back in the early 80's. I saturated the color slightly, and I changed the color of the gravel because it was a little too blue gray for me. I like the dirt road look. I wish I had taken this a little earlier in the day though. I think a blue sky would have made the picture much better. Thoughts, opinions?
